Crossovers

Crossovers are typically threaded connections that are of the same or different threads to form a thread variation generally to reconfigure a tool string, tubing string or other application with threaded unions on either end. At Western Pressure Controls, our crossover unions are available in several formats typically

WPC – Re-Entry Guide

This is the first item in the well “hole” threaded to the bottom of the tubing, intended as the leading “edge” coupler at the end of the tubing to be ran in the hole. The re-entry guide minimizes issues associated with hitting washouts, rock ledges, or other obstructions encountered in the wellbore as the tubing string is lowered into the well prior to further wireline operations. The re-entry guide is designed to also allow the wireline Rope Socket and connection to be pulled back into the tubing string; in the case the wireline tools have been lowered out beyond the depth of the tubing. Hence the title (Re-entry guide) the internal threads are machined out leaving a tapered, beveled section inside the collar giving a low-profile edge

WPC – Half Mule Shoe – WPC style coupling has a cut away less than center at an angle of 45 degrees. Other angles and full mule shoe styles are also available upon request

WPC – Saw Tooth – The saw tooth model has been cut into the bottom of the coupling to break up debris in the well.
